This clipper is weak if you regularly are shaving down matted dogs, there is no blade drive but after a year of use it sounds like a regular A5 clipper does when it needs blade drive maintenance, id say save your money and get a wahl or Andis cordless clipper

After my clippers were out of their first year warranty, I needed to replace the drive lever. I’ve done it on other clippers so figured I’d order a good supply and do it myself. A rep called to inform me I needed a new backing since the new drive lever was larger than the old, and she included it free in my package and told me I’d need to replace that as well for the first time and then after that would be good! Shipping was quick and my clippers are quiet again!
